postcard from our private collection
A postcard captioned Panther's Den, Yulan, no postmark, but appears
to be very old (early 1900's?).
(Location being kept secret by request) During the 1800's, the Indians
would leave the Delaware River and camp out by the panthers den. When
spring arrived, they would trek back down to the Delaware river. Many
years ago, ransackers would fill suitcases full of arrow heads and Indian
artifacts. Tom Quick (A known Indian killer) would come down from Highland
and shoot Indians for fun. He killed at least 7 or 8 Indians.
