Old School

Old School Old School

This was a 1 room school house heated by a pot bellied coal stove.

About 40 kids would attend school at the same time.

The students started from kindergarten to 8th grade. To graduate, they would finish school in Barryville. One of the teachers that taught there was Annie Levenworth.

Walter Metzger graduated from this school at the age of 13.

Later on in time, this school house was moved into Barryville and still stands today.
