A postcard from Grand Vue Inn. On reverse, Edw. Bornstein, Prop.
Tel. Barryville 3571, "For relaxation come to GRAND VUE INN"
Postmarked 1951.
(from interview with Larry Woods) The Grand
Vue Inn (located on Beaver Brook Road) was Bornsteins and renamed the
Grand Vue Inn. Mr. Bornstein's brother Ben was a publicist in New York
City for Irving Berlin. When the Grand Vue Inn was a happening place (1930's
- 1950's), Bing Crosby, Eddie Cantor and other famous people would stay
there as guests. In 1949 the Grand Vue Inn was renovated by Larry Woods,
Leonard Crandall and Bill Kalin. Then it was sold and became the Rustic
Inn. Today it is a private residence.
