5. Win 7 64 Bit
This is from a customer of mine from a customer using
win 7 64 bit
Hi Larry,
I am using it in windows 7 professional 64 bit. Win7 pro has a few
really cool features that actually work! first since your software
is 16 bit it installed fine but on first run you get a 16 bit compatibility
error. if you right click the exe and select properties there is
a compatibility tab.
There you can select to operate in different compatibility modes.
You have the option of everything from win 95 up to vista (service
pack 2) microsoft has a video here; http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-t
his-version-of-Windows
Optionally you can run a virtual copy of XP using virtual pc I have
it installed and it works beautifully More on that here; http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
I have a few programs running in virtual xp waiting on the developer
to update. I recently installed 5 point of sale systems. the pos
software would not run at all in the 64 bit environment but runs
flawlessly in virtual xp.
its super easy to setup.
We tested a really old copy of winfax (it will not even run in xp)
in win 95 mode in the shop last week. It worked!
Microsoft got something right!

This
pops up once in awhile and I think this may be a memory problem
on your pc.
It seems that if you submit to many projects at 1 time, your computer
may not be able to handle it.
Just my personal opinion.
